Show each staff member only what they need
When everyone sees every module, people get lost and mistakes happen. In CheckThis every person arranges their own menu, and the Super User decides what each role or each person sees, down to the page they open on when they sign in.
Menus by role or by person
- For all staff, a role such as Cashiers, or one person
- Hide a few pages, or show only the pages you tick
- Choose the page they open on: a cashier signs in straight to the till
- A person's own setting wins over their role, and a role over all staff
- Everyone can still arrange what is left in their own menu
Rights keep things safe
- What people may do follows their role and the rights you give them, not only the menu
- APOPS POS: who may sell, supervise (refunds, big discounts, cash counts) and manage tills
- Stock management: storekeepers and approvers named per store
- Payouts, adjustments and refunds need a second person, and nobody approves their own
- Every action is in the audit trail with who, when and why
Typical set-ups
- Cashier: only APOPS POS, opening on the till
- Storekeeper: only Stock management
- HR officer: only the people pages, attendance and leave
- Accountant: Receivables, Payables and reports
- Manager: everything, with approval rights

Questions
Does hiding a page stop someone from using it?
Hiding keeps the menu simple; the lock is the role and the rights. Give people only the rights they need, and use the menu to show only the pages they use.
Can the Dashboard be hidden?
Yes. With Show only, everything not ticked leaves the menu, including the Dashboard, and the person opens on the page you choose.
Can staff change their own menu?
Yes, within what you allow: they can reorder and hide what is left for them in Customise my menu.
